Job Summary:
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the full-time Mgr, Research Programs will be responsible for operational project management, data collection, and data analysis of at least one multi-site NIH-funded clinical trial. The study examines social determinants of risk associated with disparities in access to liver transplantation and liver donation for Black transplant patients and living donors.
Candidates ideally have experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. They should also have the ability to adapt communication style to multiple cultural environments. Candidates should have an understanding of the issues of institutional and structural racism and bias and have a strong interest in incorporating the perspectives of communities of color in the analysis of the outcomes of clinical decision-making.
Responsibilities include: project management (e.g., ensuring compliance with Institutional Review Board requirements, coordinating meetings and communications across study sites, establishing REDCap databases, maintaining accurate research records, managing participant financial compensation, tracking participants); in-person participant recruitment; obtaining informed consent; conducting surveys and qualitative in-depth interviews; reviewing medical records; performing data entry and qualitative data analysis; writing reports and preparing presentations; supervising and training staff; and assisting the Principal Investigator.
The Mgr, Research Programs will complete all activities by strictly following Good Clinical Practices and all relevant current local, state, and federal laws, regulations, guidance, policies, and procedures developed by the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Institutional Review Board.

Preferred Qualifications
At least 5 years of research experience in social or health sciences. Institutional Review Board preparation and submission experience.
Qualitative research and analysis experience. Familiarity with Health Services Research and Implementation Science. Experience with writing and co-authoring peer-reviewed journal publications.
Preferably have completed a master's degree in the field of public health, social sciences, or a related field.
