The Biostatistician reports to and assists the Nemours Surgical Outcomes Center in providing in-depth statistical expertise for clinicians and researchers from conception through to the conclusion of research studies. This includes, but is not limited to, assistance with designing clinical research studies, writing statistical sections of research proposals, calculating sample size and power, managing, analyzing and interpreting clinical data and databases, and authoring statistical analysis results for clinical study reports and manuscripts. The Biostatistician also participates in educational and training activities through workshops and one-on-one interactions to enhance clinician/researcher's understanding of the principles of statistics and design.
