Job Description
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Postdoctoral Researcher
The mission of CCCI is to build the evidence base by designing, testing, and implementing novel models of care that improve cancer care delivery. The center will serve as a hub to connect and train physicians, nurses, scientists, engineers, patients and families in care delivery science and pragmatic trials. Work performed by Center members is expected to result in care delivery innovations that improve quality of life, patient and family experience, costs and efficiency of care, and/or the work life of healthcare providers.
The Center for Cancer Care Innovation (CCCI) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research aimed at advancing cancer care through innovative technologies and methodologies. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact research projects and collaborate with leading experts in the field of oncology.
Our group is highly collaborative, both within MSK and outside. The Center seeks to develop a diverse and multi-disciplinary team of students, postdocs and research technicians.
Focus Areas:
- Research Projects: Conduct independent and collaborative research on cancer care innovations, including but not limited to novel therapeutic strategies, diagnostic tools, and patient management systems.
- Data Analysis: Design and implement experiments, analyze complex data sets, and interpret results to advance the understanding of cancer treatment and care.
- Publication and Dissemination: Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, present research findings at conferences, and contribute to grant applications and proposals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including clinicians, biologists, engineers, and data scientists to integrate research findings into practical applications.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior researchers and graduate students, fostering a collaborative and productive research environment.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest developments in cancer research and contribute to the development and refinement of innovative approaches and technologies.
Key qualifications:
- An M.D. or Ph.D. in Public Health, Health Services Research, Social Sciences, or related fields
- Training in or an interest in learning cancer research
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Collaborative skills and the ability to work in a team
- Ability to perform self-directed and guided research
- A passion for advancing cancer care through research and innovation is essential
Pay range: $65,000-75,000
Physician compensation is based on multiple variables. This range represents annual salary only and does not include supplemental performance-based pay or any one-time payments that eligible candidates may be offered at the time of hire.
