We are hiring for an experienced Sterile Processing Tech for the evening shift.  St. Louis Children’s is a Level 1 Trauma Center, so our OR is open 24/7. We have fifteen OR suites and one Procedure Room. The following Core Services are represented: Cardiothoracic, Ear/Nose/Throat, Dental, General Surgery, Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary, Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Pulmonary, Orthopedics, and Spine.   We also support the Dental Services department as well. 

This position is 1 Children's Place within the Washington University School of Medical Medical Campus.

Role Purpose

Function as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff during the pre, intra, and postoperative phase, including preparing equipment and supplies for use by the medical team, cleaning and sterilizing equipment and reusable supplies, assembling case carts/trays and performing direct patient care as needed. Certified instrument processor. Works as high functioning member of a team supporting clinics, procedural areas and over 65 operating rooms. Works with complex tray configurations for variety of services including ophthalmology, neurosurgery, ENT, trauma, transplant, cardiac, orthopedic, labor and delivery, fetal surgery, general surgery, minimally invasive and robotic cases and supports level 1 trauma center.
