Responsibilities
The Donor Engagement Intern will have the unique ability to work across teams (communications, donor relations and events) and gain exposure to multiple areas of the development office. This position will play a key role in helping to create and disseminate donor-facing (email blasts, social media posts, event invitations and signage, etc.) while helping to organize and maintain the Foundation's donor recognition and stewardship programs. Day-to-day activities and responsibilities include:
Assistance with monthly donor mailings and tracking/entry in donor database
Creation of social media content
Website maintenance, including posting news stories, updating web pages, creating forms, etc.
Assistance with content and design for the Foundation email blasts
Updates and maintenance to donor recognition software
Competitive research/reviews with comprehensive summaries
Assistance creating and updating communications materials
Qualifications
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University
Be in good academic standing
US Citizen or permanent resident
Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
Mail Chimp Experience is a plus
Ideally pursuing degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, English, Writing, or a related field
