PCH has a new opportunity for a RESEARCH NURSE position, specializing in Trauma and Surgery! This unique position will work directly with providers across the organization specializing in investigative research that is hospital funded. This role will have a wide variety of responsibilities, and include projects, clinical studies, and working with the patients and providers simultaneously. Ideal candidate will have research experience but will also consider candidates who have a minimum of 5 years of experience in any discipline but would prefer critical care experience.
This position provides and coordinates clinical care for research subjects. This position has a central role in assuring participant safety, ongoing maintenance of informed consent, integrity of protocol implementation, and accuracy of data collection, data recording and follow-up. This position also engages in study procedures including administration of investigational drugs, detailed clinical assessments including adverse event assessments, and performing laboratory tests. Additional nursing care may be necessitated by the response of the participant to the study intervention. This position is responsible for study coordination and data management, with a central focus on managing subject recruitment and enrollment, consistency of study implementation, data management and integrity, and compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements and reporting. This position will support the Principal Investigator and Research team for departmental studies under minimal supervision.
Associate’s Degree (ADN) in Nursing (Required)
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. (Preferred)
Two years bedside/clinical nursing experience. (Required)
One or more years clinical research experience. (Preferred)
Current State of Arizona RN License. (Required)
Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
Clinical Research Training Certification. (Preferred)
ACRP or SOCRA Clinical Research Certification (Preferred)
Proven ability to communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, quality patient care. (Required)
