The University of North Florida is seeking a Research IntegrityCoordinator. The Coordinator is responsible for the administration and facilitation of regulatory compliance and assurance efforts associated with research activities at UNF. The position coordinates and supports the activities of the Institutional Review Board, the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, and the Institutional Biosafety Committee. Primary responsibilities of this position include conducting detailed and efficient reviews of IRB and IACUC protocol submissions. Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate are of specialization and at least two years of regulatory compliance related experience in an academic or medical research environment. Experience using IRBNet strongly preferred. This position requires the ability to work independently, strong critical thinking, attention to detail, particularly good writing and editing skills, time budgeting, and the ability to establish rapport with faculty, staff, and students. Maintaining a collaborative working relationship across the full range of academic departments is key.
Practical knowledge of and experience with compliance issues involving human subjects, knowledge and understanding of federal/state regulations governing the use of those subjects in research projects and other regulatory compliance issues affecting sponsored programs. Familiarity and experience working with compliance boards preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: In-depth knowledge of 45 CFR 46 and other OHRP guidance documents pertaining to research involving human subjects, familiarity with PHS Policy and OLAW requirements regarding the use of animals in research. Skills: Exhibit good time management and organizational techniques, proficiency with the use of computers and office software. Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, orally, and in writing, to continuously develop/revise and implement standard operating procedures in accordance with recognized standards and regulatory law governing the use of human subjects in research projects and other regulatory compliance issues related to sponsored programs.
