Reporting to our Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, you will:
Actively monitor and assess developments and trends in healthcare, cancer care and research, public health, data security, and related areas to detect and respond appropriately with a plan of action.
Act as an advisor to senior leadership, ensuring that potential issues are identified and understood before they become crises.
Develop and implement communications strategies and messaging on issues that could affect MSKs reputation, operations, security, and partner relationships.
Maximize full suite of Marketing & Communications capabilities to complement issues management strategy. Lead integrated communications efforts in crisis situations, ensuring cohesive, consistent execution.
Collaborate closely internally with Government Relations, Information Security, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Compliance, Hospital Administration, Executive offices, and other areas of MSK.
15+ years in issues management and crisis communications at a senior level, in-house and/or as a senior account lead in a large agency.
Extensive knowledge and experience managing issues and crises related to: data privacy and security; government affairs and the regulatory landscape; public health; social justice.
Extraordinary writing and verbal presentation skills. Must be capable of writing with excellence, speed, discretion, and professionalism under pressure.
Experience in complex and multi-faceted organizations with diverse and multi-cultural employee audiences.
