Sr. HRPP/IACUC Policy Lead

Who are we? The Research Compliance Office (RCO) is responsible for oversight and management of Stanford’s Administrative (Compliance) Panels and ensures compliance with applicable policies, accreditation standards and external regulations. Our goal at RCO is to help facilitate research and to make sure it is done safely, ethically, and legally. We make being service-oriented a priority. We are seeking a candidate who can provide policy and operational direction for the Stanford RCO Human Research Protection Program (HRPP). In this position, under the direction of the RCO Director, the Sr. HRPP/IACUC Policy Lead will have a lead role in policy analysis and development. The Sr. HRPP/IACUC Policy Lead will use advanced knowledge of the national and state regulatory framework, and thorough understanding of the intricacies of human and animal research, to provide expert advice on federal, state, and University policy and emerging regulatory requirements, interact effectively with regulatory agencies, guide the development of HRPP and IACUC policies and procedures, and maintain Accreditation status. This position will have a lead role in activities that impact Stanford’s research community at large, and influence the regulatory landscape through collaboration with peer institutions and national organizations.
