The Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) is recruiting for the Director of its Division of Policy and Assurances. This position is within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH), located in Rockville, Maryland.
The Director of OHRP’s Division of Policy and Assurances, one of OHRP’s most senior positions, plays a significant leadership role in all policy matters related to OHRP’s mission of protecting human research subjects. Come lead OHRP’s policy team, advise HHS leadership on human subjects protection issues, and participate in the development of HHS policies and regulations for the protection of human subjects, including those related to the revised Common Rule.
A Master’s degree or a higher educational level (e.g., J.D., M.D., or Ph.D.) is preferred, but not required.
Telework is permitted as determined by the agency’s policy. Currently, OASH policy permits one day a week of telework, except during a crisis.
