Perform various molecular biology and biochemical pharmacology techniques, including nucleic acids isolation, cDNA synthesis, Western blots, qPCR, ELISA, enzymatic assays, genotyping, Luminex xMAP, cell and bacterial culture, Quanterix assays and immunohistochemistry.
Propose and set up new assays as needed.
Perform data analysis, data QC and data reports.
Support laboratory operational management with tasks such as scheduling, ordering, maintaining ordering log, and general organization of lab.
Supervising and training of Research Associate employees.
Oversee compound preparation and formulation for drug screening studies.
Organize and participate in tissue collection and dosing [ip, po, sc and iv (tail vein)] as needed.
Ensure compliance with quality control policies established by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and Commission of Office Laboratory Accreditation (COLA) and other accredited agencies and document all quality control activities, instrument/equipment calibrations and maintenance contained in logs.
Holds current NJS Bioanalytical Laboratory Director license and can provide supporting documentation. Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Biological Sciences required. Previous experience in Molecular/ Cell/ Pharmacology techniques is required. Organizational and multitasking skills required, team player, working experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and statistical software (StatView and Prism) is strongly desired.
