Ensure human subjects research activities are in compliance with institutional requirements and relevant state/federal regulations. Facilitate the review/approval of protocols, reliance agreements and amendments. Perform duties as assigned.
30% - Essential - Conducts reviews of reliance requests related to collaborative human subjects research. Advise investigators on appropriate infrastructure and staffing necessary to serve the role of a PI for a multi-site study where Clemson University serves as the single IRB. Manages requests to rely on external IRBs, determines eligibility and institutional requirements and communicates institutional requirements to PI.
30% - Essential - Analyzes and processes various amendments according to federal, state and institutional guidelines. Monitors the completion of these requests in a timely manner.
15% - Essential - Serves as the account manager for Clemson University in the Health Sciences of SC (HSSC) eIRB system. This includes monitoring and reporting on daily functionality. Registers new users and update existing users in the eIRB system. Troubleshooting issues and responses to investigators as well as IRB staff. Participates in monthly workgroup meetings and conference calls between the HSSC collaboration members.
15% - Essential - Analyzes and processes new IRB applications and progress reports, according to federal, state and institutional guidelines. Monitors the completion of these requests in a timely manner.
10% - Essential - Assists with development and implementation of IRB-related University policies and guidelines as necessitated by changes in federal, state and local regulations related to research activities. Other duties as assigned.
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Work Exp 1+ years of relevant IRB office work experience
