Located in scenic Portland, OR, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) has a fantastic opportunity for a Research Integrity Specialist. The Research Integrity Specialist works independently and acts as an advanced professional resource in giving specialized and detailed guidance, performing independent review and final determination/resolution of human subject research projects, in conformity with federal and state regulations and OHSU policies. This position will work in the OHSU Integrity Department, with the Institutional Review Board (IRB). The IRB oversees/manages the ethical and regulatory review and oversight of research projects involving human subjects.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience, including knowledge of requirements related to research, the ability to understand medical and scientific terminology and procedures, and to accurately identify drugs, devices, procedures, etc. in order to provide thorough and accurate protocol review. If not already obtained, the expectation is that the employee will become a certified IRB Professional (CIP) within 2 years of hire.
