RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Conference and Program Coordinator, the Conference and Program Team Intern supports the planning of PRIM&R’s events. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Drafting event documents, correspondence, and webpages
Assisting with projects for event speakers
Assembling information related to audiovisual, food and beverage, supporters and exhibitors, meeting venues, etc.
Conducting research and preparing reports on competition, venues, vendors, event charities, etc.
Inventorying and packing conference materials
Serving as a member of the customer service and registration team (e.g., respond to general inquires, process event registrations and changes, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have the initiative to follow direction and complete projects independently with minimal supervision; be flexible, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic; have very strong writing and proof-reading skills; and proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Prior knowledge of research ethics is not required. Interest in working on large-scale events is preferred.
Additional Salary Information: SALARY & BENEFITS: This part-time, paid internship (starting at $12 per hour) is available now. Applicants who can work through the summer and into the next school year are preferred. Candidates can expect to work 10 hours per week–set days will be determined by applicant and supervisor based on applicant schedule.
