Research Administration position opening to design, plan, promote, and conduct activities of substantial complexity and impact for the human subject protection programs and services in the Office of the Vice President for Research, Human Subjects/IRB Office (HSO). This position will coordinate procedures to ensure compliance with human subjects research regulations, the Institutional Review Board (IRB) application process, and attend IRB meetings to document the discussion of regulatory determinations and any further actions needed for IRB approval.

Education or Equivalency Required
Bachelor’s degree in a field of science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience (typically 3-5 years) conducting intensive, expeditious, regulatory review of research involving biomedical and\or social behavioral research design.
Evidence of strong writing, speaking, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to interact with clients on a broad range of sensitive topics.
Experience with Microsoft Office software and the internet.
Knowledge of University and federal regulations regarding the protection of human subjects participating in research including; HIPAA, FDA, informed consent, randomized clinical trials, social\behavioral and biologic regulations.
Highly Desirable Qualification
Demonstrated experience (3-5 years is preferred) conducting intensive, expeditious, regulatory review of research involving biomedical and\or social behavioral research design.
Reasonably related (typically 3-4 years) program coordination, administrative, and/or supervisory experience.
Public speaking experience
CIP (Certified IRB Professional) certification.
Experience in preparing reports to federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting agencies.
