Supports The Office of Research Support and Compliance (ORSC) in fostering research integrity by designing, developing and delivering responsible conduct of research (RCR) education and by coordinating outreach information and activities for the office. The focus will be on creating educational programs for the UT research community, including faculty and staff, students, and post-doctoral research fellows in responsible conduct of research and compliance topics. This position will collaborate with other areas across campus in developing an integrated compliance education program that promotes an understanding of ethical research and compliance issues throughout the research enterprise.
Benchmarks with national peer institutions to develop a robust responsible conduct of research and compliance education program.
Maintains knowledge and expertise in a wide variety of RCR and compliance topics.
Develops, delivers, and assists with delivery of RCR and compliance education.
Develops, collects, and makes available RCR resources for the university research community.
Supports components of ORSC in the delivery of education specific to human subjects, animal subjects, and conflict of interest.
Designs and delivers education for the research community to support the implementation of new electronic compliance systems.
Continually evaluates the ORSC website functionality and content; works with functional office areas to maintain a user-friendly website and current content.
Publishes an ORSC newsletter and outreach communication.
Coordinates and support other office outreach functions as needed.
Two years’ experience related to training or education design, development, and delivery or at least 3 years’ of experience in research compliance or research administration with a working knowledge of responsible conduct of research issues.
Ability to effectively communicate with university administrators, faculty, post docs and students
