WCM-Q is in its 15th year of operation and is seeking a candidate for Director, Research Integrity.
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Research, the Director is responsible for strategic direction, oversight and operational management of the WCM-Q Office of Research Integrity to ensure a high level of responsiveness to the needs of the research community while ensuring that WCM-Q meets its ethical and regulatory obligations as they relate to animal subject protection and conflicts of interest.
Having in-depth knowledge of the regulations governing animal research, the incumbent will be responsible for assuring regulatory compliance of the animal subject protection program with Federal, Institutional and Qatari policies, procedures and regulations, acts as a Conflicts Liaison Officer (CLO) responsible for implementation of policies and procedures related to conflicts of interest and commitment on the Qatar campus, and serve as a liaison to the WCM-NY COI Office.,supports the institutional Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) officein overseeing the Occupational Health and Safety Program & Develops and maintains research education program.
The successful candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years progressive experience in the oversight of research conduct including at least one year of managerial experience. She/he should have demonstrated comprehensive working knowledge of animal subject protection regulations and ethical standards & advanced organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills.
